I decided to do my poster advocating to wear a mask to help prevent the spread of Covid 19 in 2020.

Photoshop B&W to Color

Image
I chose to have some fun with the colors and choose some bright and unique color combinations. The original photo is pretty soft color wise, so I thought I'd change it up by using colors that weren't originally really in the first photo. I wanted to make the sunglasses stand out the most in all of them.  The actual process of photoshop takes a long time to make it more precise, but it's actually conceptually easy. Overall, doing this project took me a couple of hours, but it went along more smoothly one I got the hang of it. It made me really familiar with the tools of photoshop, and I hope to work with it more in the future.

Grafitti

This is the graffiti version of my logo. I decide to pick a darker red color to keep the mysterious vibe. I wanted to make the scratches very readable to help with the grunge look as well.

Photoshop Tutorials

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnSAnAolpmI This video is titled "How to use photoshop- 2020 beginner's guide". The video itself started off really slow, but the guy seems really nice and helpful. It was a pretty long video, about 18 minutes, but it was pretty informative. The best part was when he brought in a portrait of a woman and started teaching adjustments, like lightness and saturation. This seems the most handy for day to day life.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hw0-SehGcgg The next video is about cutting out an image, and removing and deleting a background. This video is more specific than the previous video, but it's informative. This video went into a lot of detail, and showed different ways in which to select objects and then showed how to make it realistic looking. He explained everything in a pretty understandable way, and showed everything step by step with what tools he was using and how to use them.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hw0-SehGcgg The

Logo

mood board: logo sketches: logo:               For the mood board, I tried to pick different words that represented me. Ones that were more unique to me but still representative to my  personality. The one that really stuck out to me, and one I thought was the most unique was the word "mysterious". A lot of people that don't know me well have told me that I come off as very private and mysterious, because I don't talk too much, or I'm too shy. Personally, I didn't really see it at first, but grew to understand what they were saying as time went on.                As for my logo, I decided to create a harsher and darker tone by using certain colors and sharp edges and lines. I decided to use a 10 percent opacity for the clouds, making them sheer and hazy, creating a mysterious vibe. I used a really organic approach to creating the trees, to help further invoke a harsh and dark feel. I didn't want to go all the way with using "black" for any fill

The Calligram Project

Calligram Project Dear Josie (20 years from now), Wow, so you’re 42. That’s pretty old honestly. Anyways, I hope that you’re finally satisfied and have embraced all sides that make you, you. I know it’s been a real struggle trying to find out what makes the fire light up in your eyes, but finally doing what makes you happy is a dream come true and I know you know that. As a libra, I know you want to create balance in your life and I hope you found a way to do that. Remember to learn to love yourself and to cherish moments that seem irreplaceable. I wish I would’ve told my younger self that, but I think I’m starting to catch on.  I think the biggest struggle I still have now, is learning that it’s okay, and also needed, to say “no” to things that no longer serve you or even at least tire you. As a people pleaser, it’s so easy to get caught up in doing what everyone else wants you to do, but learning to say no, I’m learning, is more freeing than saying yes sometimes. I hope you’ve
